Editorial policy
Local Football Review aims to make football understandable without overstating what a single explanation can tell you. Our articles are written for general readers and are checked for clarity, accuracy and a fair account of the subject.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against appropriate material available to the editors and take care with football terms, rules and distinctions. We explain the scope of an article rather than implying that one example applies to every match or competition. Where a topic has changed or a point is uncertain, we avoid treating it as settled fact.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the usefulness and relevance of the subject to readers. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, favourable treatment or a particular conclusion. We do not make claims of personal observation or testing unless the article can support them.
Corrections
If you believe an article contains an error, use the Contact page and identify the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests, check the available context and amend material when warranted. A correction should make clear what changed; we do not silently preserve a known factual error.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, sponsored or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly identified as such, separate from independent editorial coverage. Partner placements are labelled so readers can recognise their commercial context. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when that applies, the image is identified accordingly and is not presented as documentary evidence.
